Assessment of Readiness for College and Career (ARC)

Assessment of Readiness for College and Career (ARC) is an assessment given to Grade 11 or Grade 12 students. It aims to assist students, teachers, career guidance counselors, and parents to decide where students are on the path to becoming academically-prepared and career-oriented ready. The assessment tool includes measures of knowledge, skills, and critical thinking necessary to pursue higher education and/or embark on a specific career. It covers subject content areas to measure the career-related abilities and aptitudes of students. As an aptitude assessment, it also supports students as they make adjustments in their study and career preparation plans based on the results. It also helps students to undertake career exploration.
